Dillon is a wrestler and plays football. (Side note: I forgot to tell you, Dillon -- when Angleton played Brazoswood this past fall, I actually yelled "Yay Dillon!" when I heard your name called out over the loudspeaker. Angleton fans looked at me a bit strangely but decided I must be some crazy lady who didn't realize she was yelling for the wrong team.)
Dillon likes to have fun, although he prefers to keep his game face on.
Monica is a softball player. Wouldn't you just shake in your shoes if you were on the pitcher's mound and saw this face set like flint?
It's just a good thing Monica's opponents don't get the chance to see her lovely and wacky sides. They might not be quite so intimidated otherwise.
Come to think of it, it was best to wait and do these sessions AFTER Dillon and Monica wrapped up their high school sports careers. They were having too much fun to keep up their tough facades for long.
Winning athletes. Winning personalities. May you both keep striving for excellence while being great sports!
Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs in the camp of the saved?
"The hand of God has turned the tide!
The hand of God is raised in victory!"
Psalm 118:15-16 MESSAGE
