FINALLY you get to meet Christina! Somehow the busy shooting of pictures has resulted in the slow blogging of pictures. Imagine that!

In honor of Christina's illustrious journalism career at Angleton HS, I'm going to share some of my favorite images from her senior session in black & white:

Well, except for this last one. The b&w version is nice, but the color shows off the rays of sunlight more effectively:

I do believe we'll be hearing great things about this young woman. She understands the power and beauty of words and is hoping to head to a prestigious university out-of-state, where she'll continue to pursue her passion for the written word. Thanks for asking me to do this session with you, Christina, and thanks for helping me become a household name through the AHS Tattler!
Your words have supported those who stumbled;
you have strengthened faltering knees.

Senior guys are just too much fun to photograph! Take my new friend David, for instance. Unpretentious, amiable, even willing to put on a dress suit to please his mom and look sharp for my camera:

He was perfectly willing to give me moody, thoughtful shots...

...as well as relaxed, pure-David shots:

I always like to personalize senior sessions with highlights from their high school career. Judging by the countless medals hanging around David's neck, I'd say that track has been a pretty bright highlight for him!

Last but not least, we traipsed out to an overpass to try out my latest location idea. This was our favorite spot for shooting:

I think it's important to spend an hour or so recording this important stage in a young person's life. The years that bring them to this point fly by so quickly, and in the blink of an eye they're out of the nest and soaring through the skies of a great big world. Thanks for letting me serve as your historian, David, before you take your place in the flock heading out of Angleton in a few months. I know you'll go far in whatever direction you choose. Just come back and visit home often!
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
they run and don't get tired,
they walk and don't lag behind.

My little friend Ethan got to be the first Wonderfully Made baby-in-a-basket recently. We set him down in a field of wildflowers and watched him try to take it all in:

I think it blew his mind a little bit! Well, that and the 40 degree wind that whipped through that morning...

I persuaded Mom Laura to get in on the photo action, and Ethan seemed to really enjoy their playtime. The Man of a Million Faces:

I can't say for sure, but I think this was a morning of several new experiences. It's a good thing we used the basket for this session because Ethan will have outgrown it before we get together again for his six month session. In fact, he barely fit into it at three months. He's a strapping young laddie, that Ethan!

How will this baby's temperament and physique further develop over the years to come? What marvelous accomplishments will his future bring? Only One knows the answers to those questions right now, but it won't be long before the rest of us are privileged to find out. Thanks for introducing me to your fine young man, Laura (and thank you Nonnie/Eileen for giving this session as a Christmas gift). You're already off to a wonderful start along the motherhood path!
You know me inside and out,
You know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before You,
the days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day.

I'm going to let Camryn tell you about herself through these photos:

I am a young lady of many moods and great curiosity.

I like to do things on my own, thank you.

So don't try to keep up with me, especially when I'm wearing my tutu.

I love my Jenny, my mommy-to-be very much. I guess you already knew that.

I am Princess Camryn!

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit
that we are God's children.
Now if we are children,
then we are heirs --
heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ...

I don't think these two could be even the tiniest bit happier together. Take a look and see what you think:

Well, there is one TINY thing that will make life even sweeter for Kristin and Tim -- their upcoming June wedding!

Love blossoming, a new union budding -- that calls for wildflowers bursting forth!

Your joy is written all over your faces, Tim and Kristin! I'm so glad that God helped you find one another across half a continent, and that He continues to help you learn to love one another completely. I can't wait to do your bridal session (ready when you are, Kristin!) and be there to capture the memories of your Big Day. May these next two months bring you one tiny unexpected blessing after another!

So this is my prayer:
that your love will flourish
and that you will not only love much but well.
Learn to love appropriately.
You need to use your head and test your feelings
so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush.
Live a lover's life,
circumspect and exemplary,
a life Jesus will be proud of:
bountiful in fruits from the soul,
making Jesus Christ attractive to all,
getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.
