Since Jarrett is heading into the Air Force in just a few months, I thought it would be fun to do some shots with airplanes in the background. We headed out to the Brazoria County Airport to try our luck, and boy did we score! I have found people to be quite eager to help make senior portraits something special, and the airport director was no exception. When I told him that we were hoping to get close to a plane, he led us to this one tucked away in their hangar:

I had no idea that one of Howard Hughes' planes is being stored at our airport. Now Jarrett knows too!

We did finally have to tear ourselves away from our awesome find. Jarrett's face quickly relaxed from that giddy grin into its everyday cool expression.

Doesn't this just look like a face that will stay cool under pressure?

Jarrett, thanks for bravely standing nearby while I wheedled our way closer to an airplane. Only for you! I'll be praying for you as you head out into the wild blue yonder.
God Himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track
until things are all wrapped up by Jesus.
God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure,
shares with us the life of His Son and our Master Jesus.
He will never give up on you.
Never forget that.
